Factory Blinds is an independently-owned window furnishing business operating out of Launceston, Tasmania. We pride ourselves in providing high-quality made to measure window furnishings throughout the state.
Our story
Founded by Gary and Val Streets in 1989, Factory Blinds is a local manufacturing retailer of internal and external window furnishings and its related products. In 2026, Gary and Val Streets retired and sold Factory Blinds to Kellie Panton, who has worked alongside Gary for 18 years, purchased the business.
Today, we employ over 20 people across our Launceston-based showroom and workshop.

Most pieces are manufactured in our local workshop, with the remaining furnishings sourced from Australian wholesale suppliers. This includes internal and external furnishings tailored specifically for your home.

At Factory Blinds, our curtains, roller blinds and awnings are all certified Australian Made so you can be sure that you're purchasing quality-made products that's been manufactured locally by our workroom team at Prospect.

We are committed to finding the most beautiful and the highest quality fabrics from Australian design houses. We support Australian made and champion innovative and eco-friendly designs. Some notable brands include OzRoll, Wilson Fabrics, Louvolite, Nettex, Uniline, Ziptrak Patio Blinds and many more.
