Blockout roller blinds continue to be the most popular roller blind option because of fashion, trend, practicality and price.

When combined with a sunscreen roller blind the thermal properties and insulation factor that the double roller blind offers improves dramatically.

Improved insulation comes about through the creation of air pockets and when both blinds are rolled down together the two layers of roller blind fabric do just that.

Thermal properties are improved by creating a barrier to the movement of heat and air. During the day when the blockout blind is rolled up and the sunscreen blind remains lowered the sunscreen fabric retards the transfer of heat, both incoming and outgoing.

Blockout roller blinds are easy to motorise and they can be operated from a remote controller, a phone app or a full home automation system such as Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Apple and Control 4.
